Activity During WWII

In Army Specialized Training Program until its dissolution in 1944. Assigned to the 69th Infantry Division; went overseas in 1944 to Europe and served with the 69th until the war ended. Transferred to the 29th then to 78th in Berlin. A machine gun squad leader when his company freed the allied prisoners from Colditz Castle, Germany.
