Served with the13th Armored Division under General George Patton. Served in Rhineland and Central Europe, the European Theater of Operations. Scout car crewman, carbine marksman, cannoneer. He did various operations in the firing and maintaining of a self-propelled expert submachine gunner,105-M cannon. Fired weapons during Combat Operations through two major campaigns and did work on gun and weapon carrier under field conditions. He received the Good Conduct Medal, WWII Victory Medal, Army of Occupation Medal and the European-African-Middle Eastern Service Medal with two Bronze Stars.
