Member of Company L, 157th Infantry, 45th Division. Served in Africa, Sicily and Italy. Was wounded in the Italian Theatre on 5-28-44. Received Purple Heart, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Ribbon with 2 Bronze Battle Stars and the Good Conduct Medal. Certificate of disability on 1-25-45 from Nichols General Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Deceased 2-6-99.
