Served as a cannoneer on machine gun crew 400, 70th anti-aircraft artillery, under the command of General Douglas MacArthur. Served in the Philippines, helped bring down the son of 'Tokyo Rose'. Awarded the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign with 4 Battle Stars and 1 Bronze Arrowhead, Philippine Liberation Ribbon with 1 Bronze Star, Good Conduct Medal, and the WWII Victory Medal.
