Entered service in December 1942. Received specialized training from the 144th Infantry Division, Santa Rosa, California. Trained with the 125th Infantry Division, Company E, in Gilroy, California. Transferred to the 46th Ordnance Battalion, 237th Ordnance Maintenance Company. Served at Honolulu and was hospitalized for pneumonia. Discharged on January 22, 1946. Received the WWII Victory Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, American Campaign Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.
