Engineer Gunner on 47th mission on a B-25 Bomber. Disabled over Anzio, Italy. Pilot tried to crash land in Anzio Harbor. In the harbor was a British Hospital ship, the landing was aborted at the last moment, the pilot turned the plane at 45 degrees and sank February 19, 1944.
