Activity During WWII

Served from July 6, 1941 to March 5, 1946. Served aboard LCI (G) 61, in Leyte Gulf in the Pacific to Morotai, to the Borneo Combat Invasion, escort and patrol, to China and Korea (Philippine Liberation). Then went to Subic Bay, Tsingtao, China - by way of Okinawa and Jinsen (Inchon), Korea. From there to Okinawa, Guam, Eniwetok, Pearl Harbor on shore patrol. Honolulu, Pearl Harbor during time in Navy. Attended Gun School in Pontiac, Michigan.
