Served with Company B, 716th military police. He was an expert with a 45-Caliber Pistol. Trained new recruits in the use and handling of this firearm; was an active Military Policeman and served in the New York City area guarding the waterfront shipping docks. He was also responsible for transporting German prisoners of war to Arizona and Colorado where the U.S. maintained Prisoner of War camps for captured German soldiers.
