He received submarine combat tin with two battle stars, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with 2 bronze stars: Iwo Jima and Okinawa. He also received the Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, WWII Victory Medal, National Defense Service Medal and WWII China War Memorial Medal. He served in U.S. Navy Reserve October 15, 1946 to October 14, 1951. Received a second Good Conduct Medal.
