Activity During WWII

Bought a 10 cent war bond stamp each week. Teacher in a rural one room school, my pupils and myself, gathered milkweed pods for life jackets. We all saved and recycled our cans and lived on less, especially all the rationed items. Also wrote letters daily to service men.
