Served from September 14, 1943 to November 6, 1945. Was in the 63rd Infantry Division in Europe from December 8, 1944 to August 19, 1945. Fought at Siegfried Line in the Battle of the Bulge and in several other battles. Wounded on April 9, 1945 at Germany. Received the Bronze Star for performances during battle, Good Conduct Medal and Purple Heart (for European Theater), European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, Theater Service Medal and the WWII Victory Medal.
