Activity During WWII

Volunteered. Entered service on June 18, 1941 and discharged on January 9, 1946. Was assigned to the Armored Force Tank School at Fort Knox, Kentucky, from September 19, 1941 to June 7, 1943, as a Mechanical Instructor with the grade of Sergeant. Promoted to Warrant Officer Junior Grade on June 8, 1943 and assigned to the 764th Light Tank Battalion at Fort Benning, Georgia until August 2, 1944. The 764th was re-designated as the 764th Amphibian Tractor Battalion on August 3, 1944 and was transferred to Fort Ord, California. Discharged on January 9, 1946.
