Served from June 22, 1943 until August 26, 1944. At Bainbridge, Norfolk, Virginia, on board a Submarine Chaser, Miami, Florida, New Orleans, Louisiana, and Brazil, South America. Hospitalized at Bethesda, Maryland. Re-admitted in 1948 to a Veteran's Affairs Hospital and stayed there until his death in January 2000.
