Activity During WWII

He was called to active duty as a Captain in February 1941 and assigned as a finance officer to the Air Corps. In early 1942, he was sent to San Bernardino, California, where he was the first officer to arrive on site of what would become Norton Air Force Base. He served there through WWII attaining the rank of Major. He was released from active duty in 1948 as a Lieutenant Colonel.
