Drafted, March 1944. Medical basic training at Camp Barkeley, Texas. Technician's school and shipped out of San Francisco, November 8, 1944. Stationed at Hollandia, New Guinea, Philippines. Assigned to a Philippine civil affairs unit (PCAU). Stationed in Leyte and Samar. Transferred to Cotabato, Mindanao and was there when the war ended. Shipped to Manila and assigned to the 28th Military Government Company. Arrived in South Korea, October 1945 and returned to the United States six months later. Separated from the service, April 1946.
