Served with Company C, 144th Infantry. Entered service March, 1942. Served 26 months in the Aleutian Islands with an anti-aircraft unit. Sent to Camp Maxey, then transferred to infantry. Sent to European campaign. Captured by the Germans on March 11, 1945. Freed after nearly two months. Honorable discharge September, 1945.
