Served from 9-17-40 to 9-18-41 with Battery D, 160th Field Artillery, Headquarters Battalion, 220th and174th Field Artillery. Was called back from 4-7-42 to 8-7-45. Both were honorable discharges. He received a Bronze Star Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Service Ribbon with 1 Silver Service Star, American Defense Service Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal. He served in Normandy, Rhineland, Ardennes, Northern France and Central Europe.
