SERVED WITH THE17TH PURSUIT SQUADRON. HE WAS DECLARED MISSING IN ACTION ON MAY 7, 1942 AT CORREGIDOR. REPORTEDLY DIED WHILE IN JAPANESE POW CAMP IN THE PHILIPPINES ON JUNE 26, 1942. BELIEVED TO BE PART OF 'BATAAN DEATH MARCH.' BURIED IN THE PHILIPPINES.
