SERVED IN THE EUROPEAN THEATER FROM 1944 TO 1945 IN FRANCE AND GERMANY. COMBAT INFANTRYMAN WITH THE 66TH INFANTRY DIVISION, THE BLACK PANTHERS. ON APRIL 15, 1945, UNIT RECEIVED A BATTLE STAR FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE CAMPAIGN OF NORTHERN FRANCE AND A BRONZE SERVICE STAR ON THE EUROPEAN-AFRICAN-MIDDLE EASTERN CAMPAIGN RIBBON.
