Assistant navigator aboard flagship leading the Navy from Irish Sea to D-Day. After D-Day fighting stopped, returned to the U.S. to take training as Naval Airforce Fighter Pilot. Killed September 4, 1947 when the electrical system failed while practicing night landing training.
