Activity During WWII

Flew 30 missions as part of the 11th Wing Lead Crew, in a B-17 Flying Fortress, between June 28 and December 4, 1944. From the Army Air Force Station 106, 384th Bomb Group, Grafton Underwood, England, over Germany and France. Was an Aerial Engineer, top turret gunner. Received the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters, European-African-Middle Eastern Theater of Operations Medal with 4 Battle Stars, Victory Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.
