Was in the 3rd Army, 6th Armored Division, 15th Tank Battalion. Was a tank driver in General George S. Patton's 3rd Army. Was in the Battle of the Bulge. Was wounded in action in Northern France, Rhineland and Ardennes. Received the Bronze Star Medal, Victory Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Ribbon with 3 Bronze Service Stars and the Purple Heart.
