Activity During WWII

He entered the Army Air Corps in September of 1940. Stationed at Hickam Air Field in Hawaii during Pearl Harbor. He shared with his family that he was so close to the attacking that he could see the enemy pilots faces. He survived the Pearl Harbor attack of 1941. He later saw action in the Central Pacific and Northern Solomon Islands. He was seriously injured during the war. He was awarded the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, the Distinguished Unit Badge, the American Defense Medal and the Survivors Pearl Harbor Medal.
