Served with the paratroopers unit as a Technical Corporal at Camp McCall, North Carolina. After an injury to the leg, was transferred to General Patton's Third Army. Killed February 22, 1945 in Luxembourg in the Battle of the Bulge. Received the Purple Heart. Buried in the American Military Cemetery outside of Luxembourg City where General Patton is buried.
