Technician in the 227th Ammunition Renovation Company. Spent most of time in the European Theater of Operations on detached service with ammunition companies. Directed cleanup of roadside ammunition and ammunition depots of damaged material that was scattered here and there along the roads and return them to the 227th located in Warren, Belgium. This ammunition was to be salvaged and renovated for return to the depots as good ammunition, not a very exciting type of service, but occasionally somewhat dangerous.
