Activity During WWII

Joined North Carolina National Guard at age 16. Called to active duty 1 year prior to Pearl Harbor. Graduated Officer Candidate School (OCS), Fort Benning, Georgia. Combat loaded off Leyte Island when bomb dropped. Went in as occupation troops. Died February 12, 1965 at age 51.
