Entered the Army on August 22, 1943. Shipped to Africa for short time, then to Naples, Italy in March 1944. Served as a Rifleman. He was wounded at Castle Del Rio in October 1944, and after recovering he rejoined his unit and continued on to Brenner Pass. Discharged in November 1945.
