Navy Scouts and Raiders. Was shot through the knee in Africa chasing the Germans out. Was one of the first persons to received penicillin. Was not returned home, but went on to Italy, France where he was knifed under his chine while scouting. Was still not returned until the war ended. He was one of only eight men who survived from his division.
