Served in 6th Army, 33rd Division, 3 Battalion, Company K from October 1, 1942 induction through December 31, 1945. Honorable discharge. Combat activity, served on Browning Automatic Rifle (BAR) team during Liberation Campaigns of New Guinea and Philippines and Japan Occupation. Received the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Medal, Philippine Liberation Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, the Combat Infantryman Badge and the Rifle Marksman Badge.
