Served stateside as a chauffeur for a Captain. Then went to the Philippines, Japan and Puerto Rico. A demolition man and the second man on the Sectional Tube Bomb. Received Good Conduct Medal, Philippine Liberation Ribbon, American Defense Service Medal and Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal. Also injured, but never received Purple Heart.
