Combat Infantryman Badge. Served in Ardennes, Rhineland, Central Europe and the Battle of the Bulge. Served under General Patton and was surrounded by enemy for several days with no help coming. He had frostbite and hearing loss which both caused severe pain. He also received the Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Ribbon and Victory Ribbon.
