3rd Army, 80th Division. Joined 7/20/42 at Camp Forest, Tennessee. Overseas in Luxembourg, France. Wounded. Received Purple Heart and other medals. Spent 4 years in hospital and then shipped back to Percy Jones General Hospital in Battle Creek. Discharged February 17, 1949.
