Activity During WWII

Enlisted December 28, 1941 in Army Air Forces; assigned to the 1st Anti-Submarine Squadron, Ordnance Section as an explosives operator. Served 31 months overseas in England, North Africa, Sicily, Corsica and Italy. Also served with 2008th Ordnance Company in the Pacific Theatre and the Philippines preparing for the invasion of Japan. Obtained rank of sergeant. Received the American Theatre Medal, European Theater of Operations Medal with 3 battle stars, Asiatic-Pacific Medal, Philippines Liberation Medal, Presidential Unit Citation and Good Conduct Medal. Honorably discharged November 17, 1945.
