Activity During WWII

Served in France, Germany and Belgium, participated in the Battle of the Bulge. His division, 318th Infantry, 80th Division, broke through to rescue the 101st Air Division. Received the Purple Heart medal, WWII Victory medal, American Theatre ribbon, European-African-Middle Eastern Theatre ribbon medal with 3 bronze battle stars, 3 overseas service bars, the Good Conduct medal and Distinguished Unit badge. Served April 1, 1943 to January 26, 1946.
