Outfit was captured; was a prisoner of war in Germany for a long time until his brother's 95th Infantry liberated them. His mother received a telegram near Christmas stating that her son was wounded and missing in action. Later the family was informed that he was in a German prison camp. Died from injuries sustained, at the age of 39.
