Inducted February 27, 1943 at the age of 19. Entered the 12th Air Force and then the 1st Provisional Tactical Air Force, 42nd Wing, 17th Bomb Group, 95th Bombardment Squadron as Flight Engineer Gunner and Wing Bombardier Navigator crash landed on the 43rd mission. Wounded on the 55th mission. On the 60th and final mission on December 17, 1944, seriously wounded and crash landed our B-26 Martin Marauder Twin Engine Bomber during the Battle of the Bulge.
