Flew 13 missions as a bombardier and navigator. Shot down 7/8/44 and taken POW at Varadin, Yugoslavia. Spent balance of war at Stalag Luft III and then marched to Nuremberg Stalag XIII. Left on foot for Mooseburg Stalag VIIA. Liberated 4/29/45.
