Entered service on January 21, 1943. Served in the Glider Air Corps, 14th Troop Carrier Squadron, 61st Troop Carrier Group. Participated in the battles and campaigns of Sicily, Rome-Arno, Normandy, Northern France, Germany and Italy. Received the European-African-Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon with six Bronze Stars, the Distinguished Unit Badge with one Oak Leaf Cluster and Air medal; GO 107, Headquarters, 9th Troop Carrier Command, 1944. Served until September 19, 1945.
