Okinawa, Aleutian Islands. Received training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri and then went on to Spokane. Participated in the Invasion of the Aleutians once held by Japanese, as a Combat Engineer. Helped build airfields for 18 months. He was in the 2nd wave invading Okinawa and building more airfields.
