Was a ship yard worker. Served 22 months overseas in the Air Force. Was wounded. Trained for chemical warfare. General Doolittle attended party for his unit, 452nd Bomb Group, 100th Bombing mission party. He was also chosen to pass in review for President Franklin D. Roosevelt in the Spring of 1943 at Jefferson Barracks, Missouri, which he did with pride and honor.
