Activity During WWII

Inducted October 9, 1941. Trained at Camp Roberts, Paso Robles, California. Assigned to guard bridges in Washington, December 7, 1941 to April 1942. Sent to Australia and trained there until late 1942. Sent to New Guinea as part of Company G, 163rd Infantry, 41st Division. Wounded January 6, 1943 and hospitalized in Australia. Returned to service in New Guinea on October 10, 1943 as part of Company B, 127th Infantry, 32nd Division. He was killed in action July 25, 1944. Interred in Rockland, Idaho Cemetery.
