Served in the Air Corps. Wounded on D-day, June 6, 1944. Returned to duty, July 5, 1944 to achieve 50 missions as a gunner. On the 49th mission, squadron leaders A-20 enemy fire disabled his plane and he bailed out into the English Channel, but was never found.
