Activity During WWII

Served with the 773rd Tank Destroyer Battalion and served as tank cannoneer. When his unit was attacked by three German tanks he stayed at his post and assisted in destroying the enemy tanks. Received the Purple Heart. Killed in the Battle of the Bulge, January 10, 1945. Buried in Hamm, Germany, June 24, 1948. His body was sent home and buried in Sunset Cemetery, Columbus, Ohio.
