Entered on March 10, 1941 and received an honorable discharge October 1, 1945 with the rank of Gunner's Mate 2nd class. Stationed upon the USS Philadelphia, the USS Wyoming, the USS Migrant, the USS Mount Vernon and the USS Julius A. Raven during his tours in the Atlantic and Pacific.
