Basic training at Keesler Field in Biloxi, Mississippi. Airplane Mechanic school at aforementioned, several other related schools then assigned to B-24 Liberator, served in 482nd Bomber Group. Was shot down over Abbeville, France on March 2, 1944. Imprisoned in Stalag Luft 4, liberated May 2, 1945 and sent home.
