He went to Liverpool, England as a mechanic. He crossed the English Channel to Le Havre on November 11, 1944; then to Luneville, France. He moved to Colmar Pocket and then to Germany. He was discharged with the rank of Staff Sergeant. Served with 134th Ordnance Maintenance Battalion.
