Served as a Technician 4th Grade with Company X of the 3rd Engineer School Regiment of 239th Engineer Construction Battalion. He was logistical and water purification officer of the headquarters of General MacArthur, seeing duty in the Philippines, Hollandia, Leyte and Mindanao, and New Guinea. Earned the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, WWII Victory Medal and Philippines Liberation Ribbon.
