Activity During WWII

Was drafted into the U.S. Army October 4, 1943 and served with L Company, 2nd Platoon, 3rd Battalion, 317th Infantry Regiment, 80th Division, 3rd Army. Was deployed in the European Theater of Operation as a Company Runner for the 2nd Platoon. Was taken Prisoner of War, November 1944 in the St. Avold area of France. Was released at the war's end in Czechoslovakia in May of 1945. Was discharged from the Army on December 8, 1945.
