Joined the Army and mustered in August 14, 1943 at Fort Meade, Maryland. Assigned to Company M, 335th Infantry. Wounded on Christmas Day 1944 and was sent to Battalion Hospital. Returned to his unit on January 4, 1945 and that same day while fighting with his unit at Devantave, Belgium, during the Battle of the Bulge, he was killed instantly by shrapnel. Not yet 20 years old.
