Activity During WWII

Served in the 8th Air Force, 452nd Bomb Group, 728th Squadron. Stationed at Doepham Green, England in April and May 1944. Flew 13 missions. Shot down on May 12, 1944 during a raid on Brux, Czechoslovakia, 30 miles north of Frankfurt. Prisoner of war at Luft Stalag IV in Poland from May 12th until the end of war. On the Black March from February 6 until mid-April of 1945. Liberated by allied forces and recovered at Camp Lucky Strike.
